The Japanese Klimt

Masaaki Sasamoto born in Tokyo in 1966, graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1989, is a fantastic painter in the field of Symbolism.

Clearly, we see the influence of Japanese Manga in the faces and hands of the women. But also we observe the style of Klimt. Beautiful women, the use of golden elements, curves, and angels.

As part of Symbolism movement, we find in the artwork of Sasamoto two symbols constantly: butterflies and flowers. Both represent Life, Death, and Resurrection.
